QUIVER is a home for surf art that genuinely reflects the people, culture, and lifestyle of surfing. We bring together work from talented surf photographers and artists around the world, giving them a place to showcase and sell their work to surfers, homes, and businesses that want to bring surf culture to their walls.
About me
I’m originally from Devon in England, but I’ve split my life between Devon and the Gold Coast since 2014 because I love them both and still can’t decide where I want to stay put—I'm probably the most unsettled man you'll ever meet.
So, sometimes that means sleeping in the van during a freezing English winter, waking up before first light, driving around in the dark in sideways rain looking for one sheltered corner to surf. Then comes the wet, stinking, freezing cold wetsuit, hood, gloves and six quid for parking all for the chance of finding a half-decent wave.
Other times, it means sunny mornings, free parking, and warm, clean water not filled with sewage (but crowds instead) on the Gold Coast.
Different worlds, same obsession.
Why I started QUIVER.
The idea to start QUIVER came from two simple problems:
1) When I wanted surf art for my own home, most of what I found online was naff and generic — stuff that was made to look “surfy” but anyone who actually likes surfing can spot that rubbish from a mile off.
2) I've travelled the world surfing and seen so many talented artists out there whose work would 'fly off the shelves', but nobody knows they exist. And, these artists don’t want to spend their time managing a website, figuring out digital marketing, setting up Facebook ads, emailing suppliers, and dealing with shipping and delivery problems. They just want to do what they love — create cool stuff.
So, that is the problem QUIVER aims to solve.
What does QUIVER do?
QUIVER handles the discovery, marketing, printing, framing, shipping and customer service. Artists simply put their work on QUIVER, keep their copyright and creative control, and they earn money whenever their work sells — it's that simple.
I know what you might be thinking...
Artists can list their work on enormous general marketplaces, but those platforms are designed to sell everything to everyone. That's where we're different, QUIVER is specifically built around surf culture and staying true to it. It’s telling the artist’s story and putting it in front of people who genuinely care about our life in this world we call surfing.
How I run it.
QUIVER is small and I run it myself. Every piece is licensed directly from the artist who made it, and they earn on every single sale.
Prints are made to order on archival fine art paper and shipped from the print lab nearest to you.
I keep the catalogue deliberately small. Curation is the whole point: if something's here, I chose it, and I can tell you why.
