About Bree
Bree Poort is a surf photographer and multidisciplinary artist based on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Originally from San Clemente, California, Bree grew up beside the ocean and developed an early connection to surfing, photography and art before moving to Hawaii to study graphic design at Brigham Young University–Hawaii.
Her photography explores the ocean from above, below and within the water, capturing its shifting textures, colours and relationship with surfers. After discovering aerial photography through drone work, Bree began translating those perspectives into layered resin paintings inspired by the materials used to make surfboards.
Working across photography, film and fine art, Bree creates imagery that feels peaceful, immersive and deeply connected to coastal life. Her creative work has taken her around the world and led to collaborations with leading surf, lifestyle and art organisations.
