About Macarena
Macarena Aspee is a Chilean surf and lifestyle photographer and videographer whose work centres on the ocean, people and nature. Based in Pichilemu, Chile, she travels extensively and carries out much of her photography work in Central America, capturing surfing and life along its coastlines.
Working from within the water and on land, Macarena’s practice extends beyond surf action to portraits, swimwear and lifestyle shoots. She photographs models and creates imagery for brands on beaches and in natural surroundings, bringing together people, products and the environments around them. Her work spans both photography and video, with an emphasis on outdoor settings.
Travel plays a central role in her practice. Having spent four months working in Central America, Macarena continues to build her portfolio across the region while keeping Chile as her home base. Her work reflects these interests in surfing, fashion, travel and the natural world.
