Daryn McBride is a New Zealand artist and surfer, deeply inspired by the beauty, power and ever-changing nature of the country's ocean and coast.
Working from his studio in Lincoln, he regularly escapes to Banks Peninsula to surf and find inspiration. His 2026 series, The Bays of Banks Peninsula, captures everything from dark, moody storms to the calm and light that follows. He also works in wood block, lino cut and silk screen, and regularly donates artwork to environmental and humanitarian causes.
