About Nina
Nina Brooke is a contemporary painter who lives and works in Rock, on the north coast of Cornwall. After studying at Oxford Brookes and Falmouth and working as a designer, she became a full-time artist in 2016, and is known for painting the coast from directly above.
Her jewel-bright aerial views capture iconic surf breaks and shorelines, from Watergate Bay, where she was artist in residence in 2021, to Sri Lanka, Costa Rica, Hawaii and the Maldives. She paints only in natural light, and her newest work includes her first abstract series, Earth Light.
