About Steve
Steve Crossley spent fifteen years as a commercial fisherman, on North Sea trawlers out of Lowestoft and then on long liners and gill netters out of Newlyn, before turning to painting full time in St Ives, Cornwall.
Encouraged by his artist father, Bob Crossley, he paints vibrant pieces that blend the figurative and the abstract, from surfers checking the break to Cornish rock pools. His work is on permanent display at Two Seasons Gallery in St Ives and hangs in private collections across the USA and Europe.
