About Steven
Steven Valiere was born in North Dakota in the 1950s and found his way to Hawaii at 18. After a lifetime of surf travel, raising a family and plenty of painting, he now lives in the north of Auckland, New Zealand.
His colourful paintings show a barefoot paradise where the waves are always pumping and the surfers are having the time of their lives, inspired by his sons' surfing and decades of waves and culture. He paints every day, and his work is shown at the Aloha Images Gallery on Kauai.
